The Blowout Lounge started as one of the few showcases in New York City where independent artists are given an opportunity to perform at premier venues and earn compensation for their hard work.

Various record industry professionals from Sony and Universal as well as journalists from Creme Magazine and Giant Step have also appeared at this event.
