- Damon Gerard grew up in the city of Queens New York. He is mostly the person behind the stage, but has written and sung back up for other artist. However Damon seemed more interested to fulfill his dream as a solo artist. His soulful sounds of urban tunes and R&B started when he was in his teens and gradually matured into who he is today. He was influenced by gospel and R&B artists like, Boys to Men,BeBe & CeCe Winans, Usher, Commissioned, Marvin Gaye and many more. He has always been involved with music and he always wanted to make music his career. Damon had an ear for music since the age of five. He first discovered that while living with his parents in their Queens apartment, as a young child, He would sit at the piano and write songs. His family knew that he was musically inclined. Musical talents are his family’s heritage passed down from his grandparents. Damon has traveled back and forth to different city’s performing for different functions, and also has traveled around locally in the New York City area performing for different shows. Damon is still writing, singing and has produced his own demo, lyrically and musically arranged every song on his CD, entitled “Spend The Night”.
